Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the vanilla extract and eggs. Mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can also add nuts for extra texture.
